We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead roadway design and public works projects. This role is perfect for a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with a strong background in roadway design, project execution, client management, and team leadership.

Team Leadership & Collaboration
βœ… Manages and mentors a team of engineers and designers, providing technical oversight and professional development.

βœ… Diffuses conflicts and promotes problem-solving, helping maintain a positive and productive work environment.

Communication & Client Relations
βœ… Serves as the primary liaison for project coordination with clients, consultants, and building agencies.
βœ… Listens, acknowledges, and responds to feedback, ensuring open and effective communication.
βœ… Maintains professional verbal and non-verbal communication across all interactions.

Project Execution & Technical Responsibilities
βœ…Leads roadway design and public works projects, ensuring they meet technical, budget, and schedule requirements.
βœ… Manages project schedules, budgets, and team assignments, ensuring successful project completion.
βœ… Oversees project records, documentation, and compliance with regulatory standards
(Caltrans, Greenbook, MUTCD, AASHTO).
βœ… Reviews and approves submittals, RFI responses, and technical specifications to maintain quality control.
βœ… Coordinates site visits and inspections, ensuring project compliance and constructability.
βœ… Oversees contract document production (drawings, specifications, cost estimates, etc.).
βœ… Conducts building code analysis and regulatory compliance reviews, ensuring projects meet all necessary requirements.

Business Development & Marketing
βœ… Participates in marketing efforts, proposals, and presentations, contributing to company growth.
βœ… Leads proposal development efforts, preparing cost estimates and responding to RFPs.

Required Qualifications
βœ”οΈ 8+ years of experience in civil engineering, public works, and roadway design (Required)
βœ”οΈ California PE License (Required)
βœ”οΈ Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (Required)
βœ”οΈ Strong understanding of roadway design standards (Caltrans, Greenbook, MUTCD, AASHTO)
βœ”οΈ Experience with project budgeting, scheduling, and team management
βœ”οΈ Ability to coordinate effectively with clients, agencies, and subconsultants
βœ”οΈ Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
