Prepare PS&E for School Radar Speed Feedback Signs

OE provided design engineering services to the City of La Habra to improve safety in school zone areas. The project involved installing 10 self-contained solar-powered electronic school radar speed changeable message signs (VCALM signs manufactured by Fortel) along arterial highways that have a school contiguous to them. The self-contained solar units were furnished by the City of La Habra, and the contractor was responsible for furnishing and installing ten type 1-B poles, and mounting the VCALM signs on the poles, and restoring the landscaping and irrigation at those locations. The scope of work also included removing existing panels of sidewalk and reconstruction 96 SF of 4”concrete sidewalk at 6 different locations.
