Palm Park Development Project
OE provided inspection services to the City of Bellflower on the 3.5 acres Palm Park Development Project, funded by Rivers and Mountains of California. The park sits at the intersection of Palm Street between Clark Avenue and Virginia Avenue, adjacent to the SR-91 Freeway. The scope of work included installing playground equipment, landscaping, irrigation system, meandering walkways, decorative benches and bike-racks, and a parking lot. The project also included new curb and gutter, new sidewalks, new trees planted in the parkway, and a crosswalk at Palm Street and Virginia Avenue that included solar-powered in-pavement lights and a push button post. The scope of work also entailed replacing all of the pedestrian crossing modules with countdown pedestrian head modules at the intersection of Palm Street and Clark Avenue. Furthermore, all ADA compliant ramps were updated to meet current requirements.
