Justice Center Way Street Rehabilitation Project

OE provided design services to the County of Orange to improve access to the Juvenile Detention Center on Justice Center Way. The original scope included 1,200 LF of grind and overlay on Justice Center Way, PCC gutter reconstruction, adjusting utility vaults, and installing stop signs for added safety. The work also entailed repairing the pavement on Sidwell Road, an 800 LF service road intersecting with Justice Center Way was added to the scope during the design, and a low-flow drainage system outletting into an existing storm drain facility. The OE team conducted an extensive field walk review and coordinated with Orange County Fire Authority for review of fire truck accessibility and approval.  Specifications were placed in the design plans to accommodate the Architecture/Engineering Department of County of Orange’s preference.
