Otis Street Improvement Project
OE provided construction management and inspection services to the City of Lynwood on the Otis Street improvement. This project was funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). The scope of work included construction on Otis Street, a major collector roadway, between Imperial Highway and Abbott Road. The project called for a grind and overlay, replacing curbs, gutters, and sidewalks, tree removals, replacing two fire hydrants and shut-off valves, and upgrading handicap ramps to meet ADA standards. During the project a change order was issued that included additional cold-milling of the street, additional AC overlay, and the removal and reconstruction of concrete sidewalk, curb, gutter, and driveway approaches. OE also coordinated with the City to incorporate two asphalt alleyways that ran perpendicular to Otis Street.
