Brea Canyon Drainage Improvement Project

OE provided construction management and inspection services to the City of Diamond Bar for reducing flooding and soil runoff on Brea Canyon Road and Via Sorella. The scope of work required the installation of three new catch basins, which included replacing a 2-foot inlet with a 21-foot inlet to improve drainage and reduce flooding on Via Sorella. The project also entailed installing one new cross gutter, expanding a concrete intersection, curb & gutter, sidewalk improvements, street sign replacement, re-grading parkways adjacent to the new catch basins, and placing mulch to mitigate soil runoff. Moreover, due to a lack of sidewalk servicing the ramp, a curb ramp at the North easterly corner of Via Sorella was also removed and replaced with a new-full height curb, gutter, and full-width sidewalk.
