Annual Roadway Maintenance Projects

 
 

OE provided design, construction management and inspection services for these three separate projects.  The projects were done on an annual basis for the City of La Habra Heights between 2007 and 2009.  The projects consisted of roadway improvements for approximately 8.4 miles for the 2007 project, 8.2 miles for the 2008 project, and 9 miles for the 2009 project. The total construction cost was $448,358 in 2007, $504,476 in 2008, and $387,403 in 2009.  The methods of maintenance differed; the construction phase included removal and total reconstruction of some of the streets, overlay on others and slurry seal for the rest. Special attention was given to make sure that any handicap ramp or pedestrian access ramp was in compliance with ADA requirements.  OE’s scope involved pre-construction support services, which included preparing Agenda Reports for the City Council and awarding the contract to the lowest responsible bidder. Construction support services that included providing full construction management and inspection services, Lastly, post-construction support, including ensuring the effective closeout and delivery of the project files to the City of La Habra Heights.
